One hundred years ago, Chiarli Modena opened its doors on Via Manin. Since then, Modena has grown and evolved around us, bringing with it both opportunities and the unique challenges of running a winery in an ever-changing urban environment. For our family, quality is a broad concept—it begins with the community and our employees, and encompasses our deep connection to our Modenese roots.

To stay at the forefront of modern winemaking, the winery has undergone numerous renovations and has constantly invested in state-of-the-art equipment.’The last modernization was completed in 2025, on the occasion of our centenary. The modernization and the new facilities will allow us to serve our customers with greater efficiency, precision and flexibility, while contributing at the same time to reduce our “carbon and water footprint“.

Chiarli Modena is committed to meeting the highest international quality and safety standards in the food and beverage industry. For years, we have been certified at a “higher level” level according to the IFS (International Featured Standards) scheme, part of the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) circuit., which includes periodic audits – even unannounced ones – to ensure that our practices are always aligned with the highest food safety standards, without ever sacrificing tradition and innovation.

This certification attests to the solidity of our self-control system (HACCP) and our constant commitment to preventing any risk to consumer health, while maintaining high quality levels throughout the production process.

In 2025, we also started the process to achieve the Equalitas certification, the main sustainability certification for Italian wineries, founded on three fundamental pillars: environment, ethics, and sustainable economy.

This journey will culminate with the publication of our first sustainability report, which will transparently document all the company's investments in the environmental sector (carbon and water footprint), health and safety at work, and commitment to the community, through donations and initiatives in the area, with which Chiarli Modena maintains a deep and authentic connection.
